The main task of a VIP commander is to ensure the safety of VIPs or individuals who may have an elevated personal risk because of their employment, profile status, net worth, or affiliations, as well as their team members.
Secure communications between VIP teams and members are among the main enablers to ensure the safety of the precious assets that they are transporting and that of the VIP teams. Furthermore, the increasingly complex services for VIP teams emphasize the growing need for communication interoperability between VIP convoy teams and NOC to ensure the customer is kept safe.
Private LTE technology complements and ensures communication interoperability between VIP convoy teams and the NOC enabling faster, more efficient coordination between team and command.
JRC’s portable, robust, secure, and quick-to-deploy 4G solution with unique features and high-data-rate interoperable mobile connectivity is easily integrated with other communication systems like Satcom solutions.
VIP Convoy leaves the secure environment
All vehicles assigned to the convoy are equipped with JRC’s portable LTE Box solution. Each car is a communication bubble allowing secure communication between each team member. When all the vehicles (In this use case scenario, five vehicles) in the convoy leave the safe environment. They form one network with JRC’s unique multi-bubble feature, enabling communication between all convoy members.
Convoy is attached
The vehicles split up with one or two cars staying to distract the attackers. The team members in this group can communicate with each other because each car is a network on its own. The other vehicles take different routes to mitigate risk whilst still communicating with the rest of the convoy and NOC through the integrated Satcom solution.
This use case again emphasizes the importance of private LTE solutions as a mission-critical communications tool.
